Transient Memorials
Transient Memorials is a series of site-specific sculptures that use materials native to a particular site to embody the history and memory of that place. Unlike traditional memorial markers, these forms disintegrate on a human scale of time leaving only an index of their original form. This allows viewers a different interaction with the site with each viewing and eventually allows them to assume the role of archeologist and piece together a narrative from the fragments of uncertain origins.
